Born and reared in Madera and now living
in Clovis, Claudia has produced art her entire life. Majoring
in art at Immaculate Heart College was a natural fit for
Claudia. After college, she worked in art advertising, before
starting her own art business.
Claudia Fletcher's paintings and drawings are a balance
of precision and expressive movement, as if she had cut the
ceaseless energy of a rodeo from the dust swirling around
its participants. Her talent has not gone unnoticed. She
was commissioned to do a limited edition print for the N.R.C.H.A.'s
25th Snaffle Bit Futurity Anniversary and has painted the
annual Clovis, CA Rodeo Poster since 1992.
Claudia has, for years, been at the frontline in sharing
her life's work with others. She has had numerous exhibitions,
given workshops and demonstrations and taught art in elementary
schools. Her portraits have been commissioned nationwide
and her originals and prints hang in homes and galleries
coast to coast. She has been accepted and invited to several
prestigious art shows and featured in many publications,
including "U.S. Art" and "Equine Image."
